The Pulse Performing Arts Center provides dance classes for ages 3-18 in our three signature programs: ImPulse, Show Team, and Competition. Dancers and parents choose The Pulse for our faculty, education, and customer service, and they helped earn us the title of Best Dance Studio in Kansas City by KMBC-TV’s A-List Awards!
Quality & Nurturing Instruction
Our teachers are each caring mentors with their dance degrees and professional performance experience.
All of our instructors work with dancers in each of our three programs (ImPulse, Show Team, and Competition), and bring energy and excitement to the classroom that our families love! All levels and ages are taught dance terminology, dance technique, and a multitude of dance combinations.
Facility
Dancers and their families love our immersive and exciting environment that includes live video feeds from the classrooms, viewing windows, 8-foot tall wall to wall mirrors, adjustable ballet barres, theater-style lighting effects, and a centralized digital music library. We have a large inventory of developmental teaching tools to assist in the educational process, and Parent Watch Weeks throughout each dance season provide parents additional opportunities to watch their children in a class. All four of our dance rooms are equipped with professional dance flooring that is floated and raised which helps to absorb shock, reducing the pressure on dancers’ joints and helping to prevent injury.
