Marina grew up in Kansas City, Missouri dancing primarily at Studio J Performing Arts Center under the direction of Stephanie Judah and Crysti Miller, where she was a nationally ranked top soloist and member of the elite Company. She is currently a BFA candidate in the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a dual emphasis in Ballet and Modern Dance Performance. She has worked with nationally renowned choreographers such as Kevin Iega Jeff and Gary Abbott of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, DeeAnna Hiett, Paula Weber, Sabrina Madison-Cannon, Brooke Pierotti, Sonya Tayeh, and Justin Giles. She has trained at the Deeply Rooted Dance Theater Summer Intensive, Elevate Intensive by Adrenaline Dance, and Ballet JG Intensive under the direction former principal ballerina of Milwaukee Ballet, Jennifer Grapes. Marina had the opportunity to perform with select members of the UMKC Conservatory alongside the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in their production of “Memoria” at the Kauffman Performing Arts Center, and has performed with Seamless Dance Theater in their production of “A Winter’s Night.” She has been the assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders auditions since she was 18, and has performed at Arrowhead during numerous halftime shows. Marina is very excited to be a part of The Pulse family!
