Dance Instructor
Amber Wening grew up dancing at United Dance under the instruction of her mom, Vickie Zachary. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Elementary Education. While earning her degree at Mizzou, Amber studied dance at Stephens College. Amber is currently a fourth-grade teacher in The Shawnee Mission School District. Amber has performed in many shows in Kansas City and Columbia. Her credits include Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Mama Noah in Children of Eden, Maisie in The Boyfriend, and Mae in The Pajama Game. Amber has been teaching dance and acrobatics classes since she was a teenager and has never stopped. She led her lyrical, tap, and musical theatre competition teams to numerous awards including “terrific tapping”, “precision”, “entertainment plus”, and “best choreography”. Her choreography has earned several 1st overall finishes in regional and national competitions, and two National Grand Championship Titles both in tap. Amber has had two routines selected for the show Kidz Roc in Branson.  Amber is a proud member of The Pulse Performing Arts Center faculty and is excited to start her third season at The Pulse!
