Originally from Woodward, Oklahoma, RaLonda, "Ms. Ro" began her training at the young age of four, under the instruction of Brenda Alexander and Shay Ramirez at the Woodward Studio of Dance. She then went on to study Communications at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she continued training and performing as an NDA Collegiate All-American member of the UCO Pom Squad. She’s traveled all over the U.S. performing on National stages such as the Orange Bowl and The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She has trained with numerous choreographers throughout the years; Brian Friedman, Wade Robson and Chris Judd to name a few. During her adult career, she discovered that teaching was her true passion. With a background in just about every style, she’s focused on Jazz. Her teaching career really took off at Kim Massay Dance Productions in Edmond, OK where she taught from 2011 to 2015. After relocating to Kansas City in 2015, she has taught at several different dance studios in the area including The Kansas City Ballet. This year she serves as a Teaching Artist in the Kansas City Ballet’s “Reach Out and Dance” program, which brings dance education to schools in the Kansas City Area. She is thrilled to be entering into her 3rd year at The Pulse Performing Arts Center where she'll be teaching Level I Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap. She's also excited to be working with the Show Team dancers this year.
